It's funny, my classmates are more apathetic than I am. I'm actually starting to think that I'm not really apathetic, but I just say I am in order to be...something... truth is, I care too much. I had brought in this article about how the government has been using the PATRIOT ACT to hunt down people who are criminals, but are not actually terrorists, or contributing to terrorism. I mean yes, Kidde porn people are bad. Money launderers are bad, but the thing that upset me about the article was that the government lied to the country about their motives (like always) in order to get their way. And they try to placate us by saying that they'll only use it against terrorists. PAH. Civil rights be damned, they can use it against anyone. But does anyone, besides Gabe care? No. They say, "Well, all the people that the government is going after (illegally) with the tools in the PATRIOT ACT are bad people, and isn't it right that we go after them?". They don't realize that that's besides my fricking point. I brought up that quote from that German Christian guy who was around during the Holocaust and was talking about how the Nazis went after certain groups of undesireables, and got away with it because no one spoke up for them, and by the time they came after him, there was no one left to speak up for him. And they all think I'm paranoid. overreacting. Stupid paranoid liberal, wasting our time...
Older Stuff:
don't be afraid of the future. it doesn't include you, it only removes you.
It is the duty of every patriot to protect his country from his government."
