I just got back from an MRI. I had to get an IV put in, they tried it in my arm this time, it doesn't hurt as much as when we used to put it in my hand. So I change my clothes to the hospital ones, and freeze while we walk to the outside place that has the MRI machine. Same old thing, lie down on the table, they tape my head down, and then slide me into the machine. Machine starts clicking and clicking.... so irriataing! And of course, my ear begins to itch halfway through the second test... clickity click click click...... Stupid loud machine... it actually vibrates, it's so loud.... Then I get slid out of the machine, they inject the dye, slide back in.... clickity click click click..... Finally, I'm out of there! The person operating the machine takes out the IV, and I'm free to go! But he tells me most people fall asleep in those things. I can't sleep when my head is taped down, and I'm in what seems like a big clicking plastic coffin. I'm glad I'm not clausterphobic! They actually ask that on the for you have to fill out beforehand, when they ask if you've got any metal in your body. I remember when I had my first one, the guy who was operating the machine offered me a sedative...
